You will normally find your meter in a boundary box at the front of the property, at the boundary or in the pavement. In some cases, particularly in rural areas, the meter may be some distance from the property.
Lift the lid of the boundary box and take out the polystyrene frost cover. You may need to lift up the lid to view the meter face. Read the white on black or black on white numbers. These are the numbers which you need to provide to us to calculate your bill. IGNORE THE RED NUMBERS.
Submit your meter reading
To provide us with your meter reading you will need:
- Your 12 digit account number starting with an “8” (this can be found at the bottom of your bill);
- Your meter reading;
- Your contact details.

Once every two years we will need to access your meter to take our own meter reading.
