If you are considering the construction of sewers or lateral drains, you will need to enter into a sewer adoption agreement with Dwr Cymru Welsh Water, prior to obtaining approval to communicate flows from the development with the public sewer network.
Recent changes in legislation have altered the adoption process (which was previously voluntary). The changes in legislation place the requirement on anyone constructing a new sewer or lateral drain to enter into a Section 104 adoption agreement, which must comply with the Welsh Ministers Standards.
