Norma Barry Cardiff
Dr Barry is Managing Director of InsideOut: Organisational Solutions, a company providing consultancy and interim management services, and Head of Welsh Affairs for the Campaign for National Parks. A former senior civil servant she held a number of leadership roles with the Welsh Assembly Government, including as Director of Food and Market Development and Director of Communities.
Brynley Bellis Denbigh
Mr Bellis is a retired chartered engineer and former Managing Director of Dee Valley Water with over 40–years experience of working in the water industry.
Nicholas Bennett Cardiff
Chief Executive of Community Housing Cymru, Mr Bennett is also a member of the Welsh Language Board and of the telecommunications regulator’s (Ofcom) Advisory Panel for Wales. He was previously a regional policy advisor at the Wales European Centre in Brussels and was a special advisor to the Welsh Assembly Government.
Philip Bishop Cardiff
Recently retired as Head of the Water and Environment Branch of the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG), Mr Bishop is a senior civil servant with many years experience in the fields of environment, transport and economic development, including in the Department of Trade and Industry, the Welsh Office and WAG.
Andrew Board Cardiff
Mr Board is an IT Project Director in the regulated telecoms sector, with significant experience of the application of new technologies (IT and network systems) to deliver an essential mass market public service. He is also a keen sailor.
Byron Butler Bridgend
A retired wholesale butcher, Mr Butler is a Deputy Lord Lieutenant for Mid Glamorgan. A former JP of over thirty years experience, he has previously been a High Sheriff of Mid Glamorgan (1995/96), a member of the BSI Consumer Policy Committee and a clerk to the Brackla Community Council.
Ashley Charlwood Dolgellau
Mr Charlwood is the Operations Director for Canoe Wales the not for profit National Governing Body for paddlesport in Wales. His responsibilities include the National White Water Centre near Bala for rafting, sport and recreation, which promotes water based recreation and tourism.
Helena Crennell Holywell
A retired civil servant and former Senior Agricultural Advisory Officer to MAFF/ADAS, Mrs Crennell is an ‘independent person’ for Clwyd CC in the investigation of complaints against social services. She is also an active member of RNLI and Flintshire Citizens Advice Panel.
Roger Dale Anglesey
An environmental consultant and non-executive director of a landfill business in North West Wales, Mr Dale was an employee of Welsh Water until 2000 where he held various operational and asset planning posts in both the water and sewerage business.
David Davies Whitland
Current president of the National Farmers Union Cymru, an organisation which represents 15,000 farmers in Wales, Mr Davies is a dairy farmer and a magistrate.
Elsa Davies St Clears
Formerly Chief Executive of the National Playing Field Association, Mrs Davies’ professional background is in education. She is currently a member of the governing Councils of the University of Wales and Swansea University and a member of their audit committees. As well as being active on a number of local voluntary organisations, she reports for the community pages of the Carmarthen Journal. Mrs Davies is a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order.
Tom Davies Penarth
Mr Davies is the Commissioner (Wales) with the Independent Police Complaints Commission, and a member of the UK Independent Safeguarding Authority. A former Director of Education with Wales’ largest education authority and Director of the Princes’ Trust Cymru, he was also a UK Board Member of the Lottery New Opportunities Fund.
Geoffrey Daw Llandudno
Mr Daw is a chartered civil engineer working in the public sector on coastal defence and flooding. He has over 35 years experience working in the water industry, mainly working for a contractor. He is also a past Chairman of the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (Wales).
Mary Dodd Carmarthen
Mrs Dodd is a practising dentist and manager of the Community Dental Service for the Hywel Dda Health Board. She is also a Council member of the UK General Dental Council and a Postgraduate Dental Tutor for West Wales for Cardiff University.
James Driscoll Cardiff
Currently a self-employed management consultant, Dr Driscoll was formerly the senior UK partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers with responsibility for regional economic development and inward investment. He is a member of the Welsh Industrial Development Advisory Board, which advises the National Assembly for Wales on matters of financial assistance to industry, and the Institute of Welsh Affairs. He also advises and sits on the Boards of a number of Welsh based commercial enterprises.
John Egan Aberystwyth
A self employed heating engineer, Mr Egan is also an NVQ lecturer in plumbing for Ceredigion County Council.
Angela Elniff-Larsen Merthyr Tydfil
Angela is currently director of Angles Consulting, an organisation specialising in providing advice and support to Niche Enterprise and economic and social development. She was previously an Associate Director with Ecotec Research and Consulting and Chief Executive of Community Enterprise Wales and has over twenty years experience of working in business, social and economic regeneration.
Elizabeth Esau Cardiff
A senior schoolteacher, Mrs Esau is a Welsh speaker and en education consultant for a waste awareness campaign in Cardiff. She has previously worked on secondment as an education coordinator for Welsh Water, assisting in the establishment of the Environmental Education Centre at Cog Moors WwTW and in promoting links with business.
Arwyn Evans Llantrisant
A Chartered Civil Engineer, Mr Evans is Director and General Manager of the George Wimpey branded housebuilding business in South Wales, which is part of Taylor Wimpey Plc., the UK's largest housebuilder. Mr Evans holds a MBA from the Rotterdam Business School, and prior to his current role worked for Taylor Woodrow in an engineering, project management, and production director capacity on numerous civil engineering and building projects in the UK and overseas, including a significant period in Africa.
James Evans Usk
Mr Evans is a chartered management accountant with 18 years experience in public and private sector roles. He is currently the EMEA Finance Director and Company Secretary of Mitel Networks Limited, an international provider of enterprise unified communications solutions based in Monmouthshire.
Ogwyn Evans Carmarthen
A farmer, Mr Evans is County Chairman of Farmers Unions of Wales. He also represents over 200 dairy farmers on the Board of First Milk, and has been awarded an Associateship of the Royal Agricultural Society of Great Britain in recognition of services to agriculture.
Philip Evans Llandudno
A local councillor and magistrate, Mr Evans is a former employee of Welsh Water who retired in 2005 after 30 years of having held various roles in planning and sewerage administration in North Wales. He has also represented rail passengers in North Wales for over ten years, and is currently a member of the Passenger Panel for Arriva Trains Wales.

Director of the Welsh Institute for Research in Economics and Development, at Cardiff University Business School, Professor Foreman-Peck is a former Economic Advisor at HM Treasury and Fellow of St Antony’s College, University of Oxford.

She is also a former independent member of Water Voice and spent 15 years representing consumer interests in Wales.

Mr George is a retired civil servant who served for nine years as a Member of Water Voice Wales (the predecessor to the Consumer Council for Water) representing the interests of Welsh Water’s customers.

Mr Griffiths is a chartered accountant and the Commercial Director of Fifth Dimension Systems, one of the largest software and service providers to the SME business sector, and a business he co-founded in 1997. He is also a trustee of the Institute of Welsh Affairs.

Mrs Gunning is Head of HR with GMAC Financial, the UK arm of a global business that operates within the highly regulated financial services and banking sector. She was previously an employee of Welsh Water for 16 years.

A chemist by qualification, Mr Hancock has significant experience in advising businesses in Wales on environmental matters; he is a former Director of Training with Arena Network, prior to which he was Operations Director for the environmental and analytical testing and consultancy business, Acer Consultants.
Richard Hibbs Llandudno
A consultant with a strong academic record, Mr Hibbs works for Integral Business Support Ltd providing advice and business support in the areas of operational research and procurement. He is a past chairman of the Snowdonia National Park Authority Standards Committee.
Gerald Holtham Nantymoel
An economist with 15 years experience in the City of London, Mr Holtham is currently Chief Investment Officer with Morley Fund Management, which manages investments valued at over £110bn. He is also a Director of the Welsh Whisky Company.
Ian Hunter Fishguard
Now a management development consultant working mainly with small businesses and charities, Mr Hunter is also a psychotherapist and executive coach. He previously practised as an optometrist and was until 2005 Chief Executive of the UK Association of Optometrists. A member of the Court of Cardiff University, he was made an OBE in 1998.
Iwan Huws Y Felinheli
Mr Huws is the Head of Tourism at Isle of Anglesey County Council and is a former Director-Wales for The National Trust (2003-2009) and Chief Executive of the Snowdonia National Park Authority (1996-2003). He is also chairman of the ITV Wales Advisory Council, a member of the Welsh Government’s Upland Forum and a Trustee of the Clough Williams-Ellis Foundation.

Ms Jenkins is the Finance Director of Rovac Group, which includes Rovac Aerospace Limited a specialist pre-treatment and paint finishing company focussing on the aerospace sector based in Crynant and Rovac Contracts Limited a specialist paint finishing company based in Llanelli. She is a Chartered Accountant who previously operated in private practice and then provided services as a business advisor for new businesses and projects. A Welsh speaker, she is a former Board Member of Dyfed Powys Probation Trust and a past representative of the voluntary sector on the Carmarthenshire Objective 1 Partnership Board.’ She is currently a Trustee of Dr Mz - Carmarthen Youth Project.
Bryn Parry Jones Caernarfon
A former employee of Welsh Water who retired after 30 years of providing financial and operational management services, Mr Jones has recently completed a 4-year role as an Office Manager with Bangor University. He is now a self employed finance manager with a charity supporting young people in north west Wales.
Tegryn Jones Cardiff
Chief Executive of The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, Mr Jones is also a member of the Wales Environmental Protection Advisory Committee. He was previously Chief Executive of the environmental charity Keep Wales Tidy (2004-2009) and is a former Policy Director with the General Teaching Council for Wales.
Huw Jones Port Talbot
A chartered civil engineer with 23 years experience in the delivery and management of drainage and coastal projects. Huw is employed at the Cardiff Office of MWH, one of the world’s largest providers of water services, having spent over 20 years in local government in Swansea. He became an elected member to the Committee for ICE Wales in 2008 and is also a member of CIWEM.

A former Commander in the Royal Navy, Mr Jordan brings a different perspective of governance as the recently retired Secretary and Chief Executive for the Anglican Diocese of Portsmouth.

Mrs Keir has taught science for 13 years in Hereford and Shropshire. Before becoming a teacher she trained as a public health engineer and worked in the water industry in East Anglia.

Chief Executive of the charity Community Foundation in Wales, Ms Kellett has previously worked with social enterprise organisations in Yorkshire helping homeless and other less advantaged members of society.
Saleem Kidwai OBE Cardiff
Mr Kidwai is co-founder and Chief Executive of the Ethnic Business Support Programme which provides start up and business support services. He is an active member of the ethnic community, and was awarded the OBE in 2006 for services to Diversity and to Business in Wales. He is a Trustee of the South Wales Islamic Educational Trust and Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Wales and a member of the CBI Wales Council.
Paul Loveluck Montgomery
Mr Loveluck is President of The National Museums and Galleries of Wales and Chair of the Wales New Deal Task Force. He is a former Chief Executive of the Wales Tourist Board (1984-1996) and of the Countryside Council for Wales (1996 - 2002).
Norman Lowe OBE Llangorse
Since 2000 Dr Lowe has been an independent environmental consultant specialising mainly on issues relating to the water industry and entomology. A former Chief Scientist at Welsh Water, he was awarded the OBE in 2001 for services to the water industry and to environmental protection.
Wyndham Mitchell Newport
Wyn Mitchell is a town planning professional who recently retired as Planning Services Manager with Newport City Council. He is a former planning advisor to the WLGA, and past Senior Vice Chair of RTPI Cymru. He was a Council Member on IWAC, the government advisory body on inland waterways. He is a member of the British Waterways Wales Advisory Board and Vice-President of the Monmouthshire, Brecon & Abergavenny Canals Trust.
Brian Morgan Penarth
Director of the Creative Leadership and Enterprise Centre at the Cardiff Business School, Professor Morgan is also chairman of the companies Welsh Whisky and Brecon Carreg. He is a former chief economist at the Welsh Development Agency and senior policy advisor to government (including DTI and Welsh Affairs Select Committee).
Jeffrey Morgan Treharris
Jeff retired after over 40 years working in the water industry in Wales, where he was latterly Environment and Education Manager for Welsh Water and a leading player in the establishment and delivery of the company's award winning education service. He is currently an Executive Member of the Cwm Taf Community Health Council and Vice Chairman of the Rhondda Cynon Taf committee of Community Health Council.

Now an investigator working for the Local Government Ombudsman, Mr Moriarty was a Non-Executive Director of Welsh Water between 1996 and 2001, prior to which he was a Member of the Customer Services Committee for Wales. He was also previously Vice Chairman of Gwent Health Authority and owned his own house-building company in Monmouthshire.

A solicitor and partner with Hugh James Solicitors in Cardiff, Mr Price specialises in insurance matters. He is a former Deputy District Judge in the High Court.

Now semi-retired, Colin is a consultant specialising in international business development and has advised many SME’s in Wales on exporting or investing overseas. Until 1997 he was Managing Director of Welsh Water International Ltd and Deputy Chairman of ScVK, the largest water and waste water company in the Czech Republic. Subsequently, he served on attachment to the DTI, advising UK companies on business development in Central and Eastern Europe.

A retired full time trade union official, Alwyn has been indirectly associated with Welsh Water since the early 1980's and he was one of the co-authors of the Partnership Agreement with the unions which is still in use today.

A chartered surveyor, Ms Thomas has over 30 years experience in property and economic development. She was the Regional Director (SE Wales) for the Welsh Development Agency and subsequently with the Welsh Assembly Government (1999-2008). She is a non-executive director of Merthyr Tydfil FE College, a member of the SE Wales Valuation Tribunal, and a Board Member of RICS Wales. She also currently serves on the Big Lottery Fund CAT Programme Committee.

A qualified environmental scientist, trainer and business coach, and winner of the Welsh Women of the Year Management Achievement Award 2003, Ms Thompsett has a strong track record in leadership and management.

An investor relations specialist and director of Kreab Gavin Anderson, Mr Trefgarne previously advised Glas Cymru on communication with the bond market and associated matters. He attended university and has family links in Wales.
Sir Adrian Webb Cowbridge
Sir Adrian is currently the Chair of the Wales Employment and Skills Board, a Commissioner with the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, and a Member of the Administrative Justice and Tribunals Council (where he is chair of the Welsh Committee). He is a former chairman of the Pontypridd and Rhondda NHS Trust and a former the vice-chancellor of the University of Glamorgan and has extensive experience of audit, risk management and governance in the public and not for profit sectors for health and education. He is also a non-executive director of the National Assembly for Wales, and a former director of Education Learning Wales (ELWA).

Mrs Wilson is a member of the Gwynedd Community Health Council and a former Non-Executive Director of Wales Ambulance Services NHS Trust and Member of the Care Council for Wales. Prior to her retirement, she had a varied career in careers guidance, teaching and curriculum development.
