Over 20% of our customers have a water meter in their home. If you live on your own, or you and your family spend a lot of time away from home, then you may find that you save money by having a meter fitted. However it does depend on the number of people who live with you and also how much water you use. This can be high if, for example, you use a dishwasher or washing machine regularly, or a garden sprinkler or hosepipe and also if you take a lot of baths rather than showers.
