As part of the new Water Supply Licensing regime, all appointed water companies in England and Wales are required to comply with Ofwat’s Guidance on providing access to their supply systems to new licensees. One of the requirements of the Guidance is the publication of Access Codes and Indicative Access Prices. Access Codes contain the standard policies common to all water undertakers and any specific terms for access to a particular water undertaker's supply system. Indicative Access Prices enable licensees to estimate charges for access to a water company’s supply systems.
